To be eligible for a grant of relief from the BBA, you will need to satisfy the following requirements:
• You are (or have been) called to the Bar of New South Wales, or are a family member of someone who is (or has been) called to the Bar, namely:
– a spouse (including a surviving spouse);
– a partner in a defacto relationship (both opposite and same sex relationships) (including a surviving defacto partner);
– a child (including by adoption and a child of any aforementioned spouse or partner);
– anyone else determined by the Committee of Management from time to time to be a dependant;
• You are in necessitous circumstances.
